Recommended feed intake P40
Gradually replace (a week to 10 days is usually sufficient) 1/4 to 1/3 of your normal mixed pigeon food with P40 Pigeon Pellet.
Fresh drinking water and grit are always present.
Feed P40 Pigeon Pellet all year round, but a little more generously when you feel your pigeons need it, e.g., P40 Pigeon Pellet:
- A few days before mating
- During the breeding season
- During the molting period

Young pigeons grow faster thanks to P40 Pigeon Pellet and often need to be ringed a few days earlier.
Supplementary feeding of vitamin preparations is not necessary.

The pigeon is a seed eater and obtains its nutrients from seeds, grains and legumes. The composition of the mixtures is tailored to the needs of the pigeon, which vary not only by breed but also with the season and the performance to be achieved by the pigeons. Well-balanced mixtures, with the greatest possible variety of seeds and grains, give the best results when used correctly. In certain situations, namely during the breeding season or during the racing season, providing only mixtures can lead to shortages of certain vitamins, minerals and some amino acids. This is why it is recommended to provide the P40 Power Food for Pigeons as a supplement to a mixture.
